A Church’s Holiday iPad and iPhone Concert
If you like music technology, or enjoy the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, then you’ll like these guys. I gotta say, if I were listening to the music and had not known what they were playing with, I would have never known these were completely played using musical apps!

What’s pretty cool too is that my cousin Casey is a part of this church’s band. I didn’t see him in the video, but maybe he’ll be up there next year with an iPhone 5 with Verizon, or something.

What’s God Think of Your Music?

The Bible has a great number of references to music all throughout—particularly the Psalms. In fact, the entire Old Testament was put to music for the Israelites to sing as worship and help memorize. Of course, what the children of Israel would call music and what we have to listen to in this day and age is very different. Have you ever wondered if your standards of music are consistent with what God considers good? The New Testament is primarily where I like to get what I believe the Church is meant do. The Church has specific functions and jurisdictions. For example, biblically, the Church is not lawfully permitted to supersede the authority within families. Likewise, it is not permitted to supersede to authority of civil government. Trees and other pagan Christmas traditions

I’ve become aware of Christians with convictions opposed to their own holiday. Not too be rude, but Christmas is basically a Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus. Of course, it hasn’t always been this way. Historically, there was no appointed celebration of Christ’s birth by the first century Church, or in the Old and New Testaments, so celebrating the birth of Jesus is not a Biblical appointed occasion.
